Imran, Thank you I am consulting with the pro's, you guys. I remember doing this as a kid with my day and don't remember what glue we used, but he knew. I did not even think about the soak up issue vs

Re: West System question
The resorcinol glues today are of a much lower formaldehyde content then in the past, still a likely a concern but not sure if it¡¯s any worse then the others chemicals you would be exposed to in a

Re: West System question
I have heard reference to resorcinol in my circles mostly about the "old days" before epoxy and plastic resins became easier to work with coupled with fears of the dangers of formaldehyde. But they

Re: The Log Mantle Project
Unless I'm not understanding the job, I'd use a handheld circular saw, guided by a clamped or screwed board to make perfectly straight cut.? Cut both sides, then a handsaw to cut the inch or so left

Re: West System question
Does anyone use resorcinol glue? For years this was the only Gov. approved glue for outdoor structural wood members. This has good shelf life - 2 part, powder and hardener. It has a long open time,

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I've used one at classes I took. When I came back for more classes, it had been exchanged for a regular blade. I'm not sure whether the diamond suffered a mishap or is being saved for something

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
French River Springs has a youtube video review of this blade that I came across recently. He runs through a number of materials and cuts. I don't believe knots were specifically addressed but it

Jonathan, IIRC, thickened epoxy in general is weaker and used when a filler is needed due to imperfections in mating materials. Planned wood mates perfectly and just rolling the mixed epoxy is also

Re: West System question
Glen, West System makes a lot of different stuff but if you are thinking about basic 105 epoxy then gluing up laminations is a common application.? The advantage is that it doesn't need clamping

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I would imagine the blade was developed for volume panel cutting where the abrasives are higher then likely marketed as as an all around blade to grab more sales Regards, Mark

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I'm likely a cult of one but what problem exists that needs a $600 blade to fix? Dave ________________________________ Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2021 9:20 AM To: [email protected]

Imran, You clearly need a Raimann Flexirip saw. My lumber supplier just got one. I think it will take a 20" blade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZQ9V603Ed4 Jason Holtz J. Holtz Furniture

Felder USA stocks the blade. You just have to call it in. It was 602 out the door before any discount.

Thanks for the responses, gentleman, to add: Tom and Mike - I have a Festool Conturo and bought the table a year later which made small parts 100% more enjoyable to edgeband. After about 5 years now,
