Re: Felder K 700 S comsidering.
Hi all, I agree with Mr. Bird. I am waiting for a K 700S that I ordered in Nov of 23 and should arrive in about 8 weeks. I just saw a Kappa X-Roll with DROs, 126" slider, looks like loaded with

I have a slightly curved hardwood caul that works well between the Mac clamps for this type work.

Re: Sheet good recommendations
Great discussion.... at risk of a slight hi-jacking of the thread, how do you think the light marine plywood from BGB would work for shop shelving? I'm about to embark on some storage upgrades. wrote:

I tracked that Ironwood beam down and have the part number at work. It's $4,000. Dave Davies -- Dave & Marie Davies www.myfinishingtouch.com 318-219-7868

Re: Martin Air Clamp
I actually saw this on an Ironwood slider.? It's shown in both of these videos at the 5 minute mark (only 2 years ago).? They describe it as a "pneumatic pressure beam":
Re: Martin Air Clamp
I basically use a 3/4" MDF piece that is 3" wide by 8' long clamped on its edge with my air clamps. It serves the same purpose, is extremely cheap, and doesn't require removing my standard air clamps

Re: Veneering: Substrate & Supplier
I haven¡¯t purchased MDO since 2017, so the quality may have gone down. I do know that the stuff at the big box stores is not quality ply. When I did buy it, it was always through a yard that catered

In my experience with it, I¡¯ve seen some grain telegraph with MDO in paint grade work. It¡¯s best to go with something like combi core or the like which has 1/8¡± layers of mdf on the surface of

Mac, I don¡¯t think that¡¯s a phenolic surface, I think it¡¯s Kraft paper. If so, the product is called, medium density overlay plywood, which is terrific for paint grade cabinetry. It¡¯s flat and

Re: Veneering: Substrate & Supplier
Mac, that looks like mdo (medium density overlay) plywood that I bought a few times for sign work.

When I bought my T72 24 years ago this option was about $2600. I imagine twice or three times now if still available. Aigner has one also if it is still available.

There is a rod that conects to the tilt if I remember correctly and has an aluminum bearing block, might also grease that and make sure it¡¯s not pinching. Mac,, martin/campshure/co/llc mac campshure

Maintenance on BF6-31 - how to clean and lubricate saw rise/fall
Hello everyone, the saw rise/fall on my BF6-31 has become stiffer over time, and could really use some cleaning and fresh grease, but I am struggling to reach the rack and pinion in order to clean it.
