Re: Eagerly awaiting info on the new Felder FW 850...
Well glad my suspicions on the air bladder on a low end machine were correct. The rounding over of the edges comment reminded me that it is an anti dubbing feature that you need in a sander with an

If you don't think Brian's parallel guides and mac's clamps are worth it, use your saw until you do. It took me something like 2 years to get to the light!

Re: Eagerly awaiting info on the new Felder FW 850...
Gasp! Seriously, $16K for THAT??? I think several of us are singing the same tune here. At $16K, that Felder WB is not competitive. Plus, given the horrible experience others have had with the lower

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Hi Wade, When I purchased my KF700SP in 2018, I looked at the Felder version of the parallel fence and determined it is too delicate for my taste. I was afraid I would hit the tail of the guide or

Re: Eagerly awaiting info on the new Felder FW 850...
You are correct in your observation Mark and I agree with you fully. I had a chance to put my hand on a proper Felder sander (model 1102?) and even that I was not impressed... I think the target

Wade I have 5¡¯ of clearance both in ripping and crosscutting a sheet of plywood. Not the most ideal situation but my L shape shop layout means that all machines with long in/out feed need to be

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Dan, If the planer is causing the support fence not to clear, does this also mean you don¡¯t have the capability to straighten line a full sheet of plywood that is 4¡¯ wide? That would be a bummer

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Not a great pic do you can see what I mean with the planer being in the way of the parallel fence. The support itself is fine, it¡¯s only a problem when I try to use the parallel fence attachment

I have both and prefer Brian¡¯s. Its lighter and simpler to use. I have the digital version, not sure if Felder makes one or not. The Felder version I have is analog. I still use the Felder as a base

I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Hey F.O.G. I¡¯m in need of a parallel fence to use with my K700S. ?Unless you make your own, I see only two marketed ones to choose from, Felder¡¯s version vs Lamb¡¯s version. ?I see pros/cons

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
For what it's worth here is a photo of my A3-31 fence. The outfeed end of the fence is 1/4" off the table. It has to be since it is a machined offset.
