Re: Pine Okay for Skids
My 2000 lb bandsaw is on 4x6. There is nothing precision enough on a small bandsaw for a wood base to be a problem. Dave ________________________________ Sent: Wednesday, March 24, 2021 10:12 AM To:

Re: Pine Okay for Skids
Hey Imran...only thing I would be concerned about is the softness of the wood and stability over time (twisting, cracking, shrinkage...) given the weight of the BS and time.

Craig, BTW capacitance can drop 10-40% depending upon low or high temp. You may trying warming the capacitor with hair dryer (from distance) just enough and give it a try. Assuming, J/P has it¡¯s own

Craig, From posts here some CF series multi function machines share start/run caps. I am not sure about your vintage machine. If you can tell that J/P motor has it¡¯s own caps separate from saw motor

Pine Okay for Skids
I am going to place my bandsaw on skids. I can look it up but it likely weighs ~500# - Laguna LT16SEC. Any reason I should not use SPF lumber for this? BTW, this stuff is couple of yrs old if not

Keith, Thanks for the update. Great news. As we hypothesized the racket likely came from chain drive for the feed rollers. Happy woodworking. Imran
