Mark, Looking at the K740 overhead dust collection on Felder USA website, I doubt the rip capacity is adjustable between 31 and 49.

Looking in the k700 manual shows the the KF mounts different than the k700 Regards, Mark

I haven’t checked but I asked if I ordered the 49” and found that I didn’t have enough space and wanted to change to the 31” i was told that the guard fits either Regards, Mark

Our two KF700's are both the 31" rip versions, neither with an overarm guard. With the riving knife mounted guard, nothing prevents you from cross cutting a sheet in half other than ours being short

Mark, My KF700 is a 2017 model. I ordered the 31" rip capacity model, cause the 49 would take too much space in the double car garage, I do not think the rip capacity is adjustable on the 2017 model.

I should have added that the overhead guard can be ordered to "fit" either rip capacity, but I am not sure if you ordered the 31" version you would be able to expand it to fit the larger rip capacity.
