Re: Felder Shaper Fence - Readout / Eepeatability
Imran, my tightening nut for the thrust bearing is good.
I'm happy with the method I now use, If I ever get time I might make a
better looking model.

Re: Felder Shaper Fence - Readout / Eepeatability
Hi Imran, there is a small amount of play in the indexing pins but more in
the adjuster......Im happy to blame the european union for it ?but, in
mainland europe we do use the same side as the US

Re: Felder Shaper Fence - Readout / Eepeatability
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for sharing. Just to be clear, are you experiencing play in the adjuster or from the pins indexing in the table holes? As I mentioned earlier, it is the later for me and I push LHS

Re: Felder Shaper Fence - Readout / Eepeatability
Kory, no experience with the SCM offering but I can say on my two KF700s
there is play on the fine adjuster (0,5mm) until you tighten the two kip
levers. So when dialing in on the fine adjuster you

Re: RL160 filter change

I did the DRO addition to the shaper fence... but it's complicated and required shipping the customer's fence here to be machined and modified. Not something i want to get into again honestly.?

Re: Felder Shaper Fence - Readout / Eepeatability
Hi Mikelis,
I reread my msg and it was poorly stated. Yes, I was referring to the slop between the holes in cast iron table and the indexing pins under the hood.

How hot the motor runs seems to impact bearing life. There are high temp grease bearings for motors but I don't know if they are universally used. I do know my Italian motors run from very warm to

The Felder "230" fence currently available on the F700 and F900 shapers is sturdy and stable once secured, but it can be a bit fussy to set up. The in-feed fence is fixed relative to the

Mine had multiple mm of slop, but after tightening, that problem has gone
