Re: Electrical question
I have three 3-phase Felder machines and they all came with 5 wire cords (no plug) with instructions that clearly stated on two of them that the ¡°neutral leg (blue wire) is for European use only.¡±

Tripping breaker. K700s
Yesterday I did a blade change from my groove cutter to a saw blade. While the groove cutter was off I vacuumed out the cabinet. When I put the new blade and riving knife back on and closed the

Re: Electrical question
One more suggestion. 3-Phase wiring is typically colored Black, Red, and Blue so you might ask your electrician to use those code-standard color choices, and wire up T1 to Black, T2 to Red, and T3 to

Re: Electrical question
The PP will have connection terminals as follows: L1, L2 - these are the inputs to the PP and where you connect the 230VAC supply line from your breaker panel T1, T2, T3 - these are the output of the

Re: Electrical question
Hi John, With PP there is really not a high (voltage) on the manufactured leg as can be expected with Rotary Phase Converters. Even though the PP is super reliable it still does not hurt to avoid

Re: Electrical question
John, You can take a look at the plug you have, it can be a good start, it you have 4 wires it defensively don't use natural. If you have 5 wires, it still not guarantee the natural is used at all.

Re: Electrical question
In addition to what Imran wrote, Felder is generally an EU company, and the machines are expected to usually work with EU voltage. The voltage between a phase and the natural in EU is 230V. so if

FWIW my 2023 10kw Format4 profil z x-motion doesn't use a neutral. I'm not sure if the same motors and electronics are shared between their shapers and saws or not. [email protected]> wrote:

I was curious about my old PP unit. The manual does not show a connection for the neutral. Not sure if same is true for the newer models. Neutral is not needed by the PP to produce 3 phase but it

Re: Electrical question
It is a valid question. A 3 phase machine can have a 120V single phase load and for that neutral would be required. I am not aware of any Felder saws that require neutral. Imran Malik

It is an odd size. When I bought replacements I tried my Leitz rep (Brisbane) and he could not source the cutters for any price. Felder had them in stock. Warm regards, Lucky
