Thank you very much. I’ve enjoyed working on the two articles (calibrating and using) and tried to distill all the “goodies” for newbies that we talk about all the time here on the FOG but the wider users of sliders don’t know.
David Best was instrumental in his help in condensing the material, making the prose understandable, photo selection, etc. Thanks David!
And it made sense to single out Brian’s and Mac’s products specifically (Brian’s parallel fence is even heroed in the main photo). We have no local makers making what they make so it was easy to push Aussies in their direction! But damn the duty and taxes! LOL

24” Panel Crafter Model 609
I finally came across a panel crafter model 609
It floats on air. No templates are included. It is missing 4 knobs with 1/4-20 threads. The two threaded holes in the base are for attaching a coping fence (not included). The knob in the middle centers the panel via a rack & pinion mechanism.
It is built like a tank. It is used and condition is at least very good. A bit of wood is missing from one handle. Please see pics and video. $750 plus shipping from 46979.

I first saw Michael Fortune use?Scott Grove's Ultimate Router base to rout the profile on the solid wood edging of his high end table top, then saw Matthew Cremona use it to make the round solid wood edging in the following youtube video.
I bought Scott Grove's book: Hardwood Edging and Inlay for Curved Tables, because I plan to do it in the future. Using the Ultimate Router base flush trim the solid edging is just one of the things you can do with it, it is long with some weight, very stable, no tipping.

I really don’t like the trim proud of the surface!

All with smallest domino at the miter. I may have to shorten the dominos for the last long side but being only 1” wide, I should be able to bend it enough to fit. I never bothered to reinforce the miters, I still have the Walnut pedestal table and the miters are as tight as the day i made it. But they are 3/4” x 3/4” .

If you can rout the slot very precisely, sanding it to flush is doable. If you find you end up more than 1 mm over the table top, it would be a lot of sanding and tricky to get a perfect result.
