This video and photos, not woodworking, were all taken with my iPhone10

This was using my Hammer F3 Shaper, for the first time, all recorder on my iPhone10.

Re: Vacuum bagging

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Yep, I have a large bag as well. ?I use a three way valve rigged to the vacuum line and duct tape my Festool to the split in the line. ?Open the valve, evacuate the bag, then turn the Festool off and close the valve. ?Works great.

I was taught that you need to be able to pull 21 inches of mercury to have sufficient pressure in your bag. ?I had a Venturi that I built from Joe Woodworker¡¯s plans. ?It never would pull 21 inches, but I also am at nearly 6,000 feet in elevation. ?As a result, I bought a Veneer Systems pump and couldn¡¯t be happier. ?

As Jonathan just mentioned, a fast way to evacuate a large bag is beneficial. We have a 5x10' zipper bag from Vacupress, and use their pump. It takes a long time to suck the air out of that bag with a 3" tall object being veneered. We started using an extra Fein vac that was sitting around, but any noisy shop vac would do. It's easy with the zipper to stick the vac hose in the last little opening, suck it down quick and let the pump take over.

Whelp, that did not disappoint. Fantastic entry door! I perused the site for a minute and those are some awesome doors. The glass is definitely a nice touch, i remember watching a short youtube video of a door company in california, and they had an awesome glass fabricator too. The one panel they did looked like a watercolor painting, it was sweet. didnt hurt that the shop had a bunch of martin equipment to stare at during the build process.?

How is the door business? Thats the one facet of the craft where i think i would focus if i had to make a living at it.?

Re: B f 6-26 #forsale

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Johnathan

What its worth will depend on factors like,?
what year it was built
what length of sliding table 900 or 1200mm?
Whether the sliding table was anodised and what condition it is in.
Whether it has the s coupling or the F coupling on the table edges

I've seen one BF6-26 single phase? on Ebay in the last 10 years I believe it went for over ?3,500 may be even ?4K+
There was also a BF6-31 1Ph a few years ago that went for similar money.

Personally I would never part with mine even when I had to put it into storage due to lack of space?
but if you are going to part with it consider splitting off some of the accessories and selling them separately.

Things that are no longer available like:
The high speed router spindle?
Spindle shafts for the single vee belt
S coupling extension tables?
Outrigger table swing arm and long cross cut fence
.
Could all go for quite good amounts as there are a lot of second and third generation owners who call the UK sales office for bits that they cannot supply.

You need to leave all the original kit on the machine itself but the extras could be worth quiet a bit.

Ultimately it will depend on the day if there is some one willing to pay the asking price or if you can create a bidding war.

regards?

Paul
