Forgot to mention Brian Lamb has a very nice DRO flip stop available if you go with the non DRO fence on the new saw and change your mind later

I would suggest factory, you can do after market for about $350 + you need a bracket. With factory you get a heavier fence. Don’t think the felder dro can be added at a later date without a lot of hassle and expense, the fence and way it locates is different than the non dro.?

We just built a couple of years ago but had I known about these I would have looked seriously at using them. Good to know.

i read the article but i am not sure if there is anything wrong with paying more than market value, especially for a business. for example:

?

new machine costs $30K

market value $10K

purchased at auction for $12K

?

so you paid $2K over. Let’s say the same or similar machine may not be available for 1 year. first, no guarantee that you can pick it up for less. 2nd, how much would you lose in productivity and quality over that year. so how does this theory account for opportunity cost associated with not buying the machine?

FWIW, just got an email from CPO listing Bosch refurbished cross hair red laser for $49. i looked up the power spec and it is <1.5mW. i looked up a dewalt and it listed similar power.

so i am pretty sure all of these pen type lasers on ebay with listed power of 50mW, 100mW or 200mW is incorrect specification. maybe it is the power supply power as opposed to laser power consumption.

I do not see any power rating of laser on amazon, does the unit list wattage? From my experience, keep it within reach so it is easy to align and all should be fine.
