Thanks Imran. ?Do you use both for cutting tenons or do you split one of them?

I have two of these and you can do 74mm deep cuts. Pretty close to 3”

Besides sheet goods just doing long boards is a pain on my KF. I use a sled due to short slider but would be same if you had parallel clamps on a long slider. I have rough lumber that is all diff width but even if they are all same width and you are trying to preserve the width, you end up setting up width for each board on slider for the first straight line rip. Then I have to go to the other side to turn the saw on. I know you can leave it on to avoid this back and forth. In this example, the buttons on the slider end, if I had them, would still be covered, unless one can approach them from side.

Files section should have the pendent, as someone mentioned. That design can be implemented as an overhead pendent or one that is attached/placed on machine wherever convenient. A lot less than $1K.

TJ, I virtually never put my feeder down off of the table on my CF741. ?I only do so when cutting sheet goods, which is not very often. ?Of course, if you are using a lot of sheet goods, it will be more of an issue for you.

Believe me, you are doing the right thing by staying away from mag base. When things go wrong there could be a big impulse of power and not sure how the mag base will handle that. Besides safety, mag base is not going to work even with a 3 wheel feeder unless you are Mr. Universe. Feeder without assist on tilt bracket is bad enough for most and therefore, fortunately, someone came up with big lift.

I agree with John, if a lot of 1/2 to full sheets then worthwhile if you like to turn the saw on/off with sheet loaded otherwise it’s a nice to have. I typically just turn the saw on and go, I probably wouldn’t purchase it again if it meant not adding another “can’t” add it later.

My two head gets 120-180.? The machine has basic adjustments and shares one motor.? When I need a lower grit, I remove the platen to take the second head out of the picture so I don't mess with the relationship between the two heads.? In some ways, a single head is easier to cope with in a small usage shop.? My small 25" is set to match the planer with 180 ( assuming the battery hasn't died ).? If I go to lower than 150 I add X thou depending on the grit to compensate so I don't screw up my setting for the 180 planer match which is 90% of my use on that machine.? Dave

We have 120 on our machine most times. We buy 60 and 80 for slab leveling work, and also 180. As Dave said, the 180 with the platten leaves a remarkable surface. That's a nice little machine, you'll enjoy it. Had one quite a few years ago now.
