Me neither. Although I did have an issue with the tilting function. The tech swapped out the guides and it resolved. FB510

Wow, Something is absolutely wrong. If Felder technician cannot fix such excessive vibration, Felder should give you a full refund.

Btw, I have Felder FB510, I do not have the vibration issue.

Re: FB510 Vibration

Hello Bill,

I purchased and received a FB510 last year and found that the upper guide would shake excessively. ? I went through all the isolation tests and had to have a Felder technician come out to see if he could fix the problem.

He changed out a wheel, pulleys, etc. with no resolve. ? The only thing that seemed to minimize the vibration was to make sure that the upper guide clamp was not screwed on too tight. ?

If your interested, I can see if I have videos showing the vibration.

Very disappointed with the FB510.

FB510 Vibration

Before I start isolating the motor, wheels, etc. I thought I should ask if the vibration in the FB510 is normal. I've owned 4 Grizzly bandsaws in different sizes and none of them shook like this new FB510 does. I thought I was upgrading from Griz, but the cuts off this saw are nothing to be exited about. If y'all tell me it's normal, I'll live with it, or try to find a buyer. I'm already living with a foot brake while the Grizzly had an automatic brake.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the added info. I missed the point about commonality of parts and was not informed where the interested parties are located.
Perhaps I'll have an opportunity to visit Grizzly in Bellingham in the near future and would hope to see their model on display.

Re: Radial Drill Press purchase

Hey Joel
My drill press is a delight to use.??
Check it out:?

What amazes me is forstner bits and drill bits that I considered less than ideal when drilling with my previous drill press now create very clean holes with very little effort.

The larger than usual table is about 16" (>400mm) square.

Re: #Knee Mills #knee

So far I have been pleasantly surprised at the dimensional ability of mine. I specified a 3/4¡± hole and printed the part and a 3/4¡± shoulder bolt was a snug fit. Small holes I don¡¯t get so lucky on, but they can be chased with a reamer or drill bit. I tend to print with extra layers around the shell, or even print solid and have had decent luck with threading holes and such.?

They are a tool like anything else, useful to an extent and great within their limitations.

Totally the way to go, we use ours alot for that. lately we have been designing a lot of electrical connectors and they are great for that, I have also made quite a few assembly fixtures for production. I have the most issues with round holes, they are never perfectly round so where critical I undersize then chase it with a drill bit also we usually have to adjust the model to print to an exact size but its not always that critical. I have used dovetails to connect parts and that works well on the markforged printer.
