Re: Robland / felder
All I can tell you Ben is it got to the point with the Robland saw was only used to rip everything oversized and then cut to the final size with my Powermatic 66 and a good laminate blade.. it was that bad..

Re: Felder Dado Set cut quality
Oh I agree..its like a 100 tooth blade versus blade with 24 tooth.. obviously the blade with the 100 teeth is going to give a better cut than the latter.. come to think of it, theres really only 8 outside cutters on the Felder compared to a 24 tooth dado blade.. Why did they ban dado's in Europe??

As you can see the second cut is very similar to the cut from the other Dado set tuned by Felder. The third cut is clean but production time at 4'/min is unacceptable. These are similar to the results I got 10 years ago when I tested for Felder in Toronto area. You have to be the judge whether this is good for your application. Hammer K3 sliding table support

Hi all. I am having a very hard time adjusting the add on support accessory that bolts to the left side of the sliding table on the Hammer K3.? I have followed the directions and played with screws/bolts, etc but the table still ends up very high on the left side, farthest from the sliding table.?

Centauro T4-1600 Lathe
2 long shots here:
1. I purchased a T4-1600 hydraulic copy lathe that I knew 2 owners prior. During the 1 owner prior the main hydraulic tracer mechanism was damaged, removed and discarded. It's a Duplomatic TL2-80. I knew it would be a good project for a fixer upper if I just kept an eye out for parts and took time. However, I've been sitting on it for 6 months with no improvements made - maybe it needs to become parts for someone else's running machine or someone else's fixer-upper project.? The only American centauro dealer is not interested in helping with aftermarket support other than and entire new hydraulic tracer assembly for $11k, and nobody seems to be able to find/supply the Duplomatic tracer units otherwise - including goign directly through duplomatic themselves.? 2. If anyone has interest in this lathe, I'd be happy to sell FOB StLouis, MO for $3000. It needs to be with another lathe like it to swap parts and keep running hard. I believe with the options and the previous owner I knew when it was running and lovingly cared for, the unit was $50,000+ in 1994. Running units with all parts in similar condition are still out there on the market for $15k+. I'm just unsure I have the appetite to buy a whole new tracer assembly and labor costs in my shop in the foreseeable future. 3. This video is of an identical unit to what I have, if it were able to run in action:? |
