Re: Crazy Horse panel cart

Friend of mine has a handyman who does work on his rental properties. ?I saw him wheeling around some panels on a cart like the Portamate but he made it himself out of a walker (yes, the mobility assist for old folks), some angle iron and some other cast off piece. ?Basically you could make two out of one walker and a couple small spare wheels. ?Darn clever, I thought. ?Next time I see him, gotta talk a pic.

Well interesting idea agreed but your floors better be flat and cleannnnn, you would also need a lot of no obstructed space.?
I use 4'x6' x 1" rubber cow mats butted together around machines so wouldn't work for me.
But in open space cool,,, he moves really fast!!

I have a 24x30 shop space which is still on the small side if you want to carry sheet goods in an out. I also have a need for a small cart just to have what is needed for a task, next to me. Like clamps, glue, drill or shaper spindle/tooling etc.

I think this smallish crazy horse with some mods may do the trick for big and small. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Jig saw recommendation

Its quite a common expression in this neck of the woods, nothing esoteric about it?

I didn't bother with the accents especially as the circumflex has gone the way of the dodo and the cedillla is expected to follow

Re: Anyone interested in splitting a Kanefusa saw blade order?

Did you buy two of the same blades at once? ?I purchased my blades from Quinn Saw as well and they told me Kanefusa requires a two blade minimum when ordering because they are custom made.

Hey Glen,

I've used Duct Inc. out of North Carolina and I've been very happy with their product and service. My sales rep is Patrick.?

They were considerably cheaper than Nordfab for essentially the same product.

Best of luck,

Jarrett

I have both Bosch and Festool. The haptics of the Bosch are superior. The blade guides are very easily set and its easy to turn off and on with one hand.

Setting the blade guides on the Festool involves faffing around with a hex key and it takes two of my not small hands to turn it off and on.?

Having said all that the weapon of choice is the Festool. It has a good light and good dust removal and on faced boards chips less.

Glen,
? Another option is which is a department of Grainger.? I'd be willing to bet they'll have a 20% off code around Christmas or shortly thereafter.? You just missed out on a 25% code.? The benefit is there won't be a shipping charge on the duct work.

Re: Comatic Smart Stand digital readout

It has been several months since I paid for it but I think it was somewhere around $120.? It was a special order so I don't think Kyle stocks it.

I bought my Kanafusa blades from Quinn Saw Company out of St . Louis. There is no minimum order. Great blades. Good service. I guess getting a bulk deal directly from Kanefusa would be more cost effective. However you get them, enjoy your new blades, George Gerstner?
