Re: 3d models for shop layout
开云体育Felder can provide you with dimensioned drawings of all their machines in PDF format. ?They will not release the 3D models, ?but I can confirm that they were created in Siemens NX which wouldn’t help you even if they were made public.?I have made a simplified Fusion 360 model of a K940 which is nearly identical to a KF700 in terms of dimensions. ?You can download the F3Z file at the following link, and if you turn on the canvas in the browser, you will see that I used the Felder PDF document to derive the model. ? Attached are two 2D drawings that might help you with space planning. ?These are based on the Kappa 400 xMotion, but this is functionally the same size as a KF700 similarly equipped in terms of shop space requirements. 3d models for shop layout
Been building my man cave for a while now. Like to think i'm in the home stretch of building anyways. Still have plumbing and flooring to pour. Yes, pex will be laid out for hydronic heating. Once in a lifetime deal. But in the meantime time work out some shop ideas. for current shop and when I move over to the new shop. Everyone here has said build bigger than you think you need cause you'll wish you would've built bigger. So true. I did build bigger than I thought I would ever need. Now thinking go should have made it bigger. Cause 3200 sq.ft. isn't enough. weird right. but space gets consumed quickly. RV, 20k 2 post lift, motorcycle lift, classic car parking and motorcycle parking. there goes almost 2000 sq.ft. Haven't even laid out the shop space yet. But moving on.
?
Been looking for some 3d models to models for sketch-up or fusion 360. Sketch-up has a couple like the kf700 saw but not the kf700sp but the kf700 will work for my needs. the have a AD741 may it was AD9?? (what ever is the 410mm). but can't seem to find any other machines. like bandsaws and dust collectors.
?
Does anyone know where to find any of the Felder 3d models. Don't need work ones just need them for foot print and shop layout. Seems 3d model your shop will be easier and faster to get a decent idea of how things will fit and functions.
?
Looks for band saw FB600/610. KF700sp (10'ft slider), AD741.?
Other models like stand alone jointers and planers, shapers, edge sanders and dust collection would also be nice. |

SW,

Things that come directly from Austria have the 'DHL' shipping charge of $70 min I was told yesterday.? If you opt for the 8-12 week version, you get UPS ground rates from Delaware.? They must pack the orders in a container to Felder US and then unload and ship from the US.

Re: Felder digital stop LCD fogging
开云体育Hi Shinta,If it is the LCD screen and the segments are garbled or there is contamination within then you have to replace the LCD. The display can be in DIP (dual in line package) package, which is easier to replace. Lift up the old one out of socket and carefully drop in the new one. It could also be soldered on a header, which means you need to desolder them with a solder sucker. Not terrible but bit more work. Make sure you are well grounded when handling the display to avoid damage due electrostatic discharge. I am surprised that Felder actually supplies them. If I am cynical, perhaps there is a reason. 开云体育I assume LCD display is fine and the haze is on the clear plastic cover. Can you tell if it is on the inside or the outside? If inside, I would try to disassemble and see if it can be cleaned. I assume it is possible to get to it since Felder is suggesting replacing the LCDs. Do you live in a humid area? AD741 Single Phase Wiring Question
Im in the process of hardwiring my AD741 (it was previously wired to a plug) and im not sure which wire is which? I know the yellow/green is ground, and from my understanding, in 220, the other two are both hot. My unit has the power drive and I dont want to mix the wires up and somehow damage the circuit. The wires coming in are black and white, so I just need to know which to connect to which.

开云体育For what it’s worth, I had that little fence on my K915 and I don’t have it on my Kappa 400 and I don’t miss it a bit. I’ve never said “I wish I had that fence”. With Macs clamps and Brian’s parallel fence I’ve never even thought about putting the wood in front of the fence. So for those ordering a new saw I would suggest to save the money. Maybe for those who have it already, just set it aside and see what happens. My two cents?Bill Belanger On Oct 12, 2024, at 19:30, David P. Best via groups.io <dbestworkshop@...> wrote:

开云体育The only accurate reference surfaces on the X-Roll sliding table are the two chamfered surfaces on the top of the P-channel. ? Otherwise, the sliding table is an aluminum extrusion made by squirting molten aluminum through a die in a manner similar to how Macroni is made, with features that vary as much as ±1mm. ?Have a look at the following post from earlier that discusses this aspect. ?/g/felderownersgroup/message/134309?p=%2C%2C%2C20%2C0%2C0%2C0%3A%3Acreated%2C%2Csaddle%2C20%2C2%2C0%2C103747009 The outrigger table aligns via this angled and machined surface with two saddles that mesh with the angled profile, and is the mechanism by which the outrigger table (and fence that attaches to it) go off and on the machine yet consistently register square to the travel of the sliding table. Machines with a longer sliding table are typically delivered as a “kit” with the sliding table and overhead saw guards removed for transport, and thus require precise calibration and alignment during installation. ?You can see what’s involved in aligning the sliding table by watching?, and for a $1,500 fee, Felder will send a technician to your shop to commission the machine and do the necessary calibrations and alignments, although not to the same level of accuracy as the method I document. ?If you do plan to install and commission the machine yourself, you will need some specialized tools to do the job -??is my curated list of ideal tools for this purpose. ???will show you the quickest and most accurate method of squaring a crosscut fence on the sliding table (the fence on the outrigger, or the shorter alternatives). ?Lots of ?other Felder-related resources on my??and?. Due to the short cross cut squaring issues already covered earlier, I configured my Profil 45Z with an outrigger, since the outrigger is easily squared and is very repeatable. That being said, if I were to order/configure a new Profil 45, I'd order the "M" configuration with the cast iron table extensions and pull-out support bar to better handle doors/windows. For tenoning, I'd add the , which is pretty easy/fast to install using the fence plates and 1-2-3 blocks.?
