Re: Felder AD 741 vs Hammer A3-41
开云体育No from what we have heard here with many asking for it when the silent power came out. There are other aftermarket suppliers though and quite a few have gone that route.Brian Lamb blamb11@... www.lambtoolworks.com

Regarding what I hope to gain, that’s why I posted the question, what *would* I gain. I think that’s been answered now.?

Re: AD941 Freight Clips
I have all the clips from the ad941 and my saw. Though both together in a single pile. I'll be happy to send em, if you'll send em back after you move. Send me a private message. -Eric On Sun, Jun 11, 2023, 8:59?AM Joshua Tolve <joshuatolve@...> wrote:

开云体育I made a short video that illustrates how a 2500mm sliding table relates to a 4x8 sheet of plywood and the resulting restrictions for clamping accessories. ?You can see it here: ??David Best DBestWorkshop@... https://www.flickr.com/photos/davidpbest/collections/ https://www.youtube.com/@David_Best

The 2800 allows for two of Mac’s clamps which are pretty much essential.? Bill Belanger On Sat, Jun 10, 2023 at 21:17 Wade Dees <wjdsignature@...> wrote:

Re: Full Sheet Plywood - Slider size
Hi ?Abruptlly
As Mark and Wade said, here's a little more info... I think 2500 will fit a sheet but little or no space for other apparatus like Mac's clamps. My first sliding table was 2800 and although that allowed a full sheet and Mac's clamps, it was still pretty tight and I always thought the next size up would be better. Last year I lucked out and was able to upgrade to a longer table.? Although the 3200 is spacious, you do need a bit more space to fully extend the table both sides of the blade.? Having said that it's a dream to use, and especially nice having the extra length when ripping those longer boards.?? Lastly, see if it's possible to have a "play" with one. (I'm in the middle of the North Island of NZ if that helps) Cheers David |
Re: Full Sheet Plywood - Slider size
开云体育I’m with Mark, wouldn’t want anything less than 2800mm. ?I have a 3200mm, it’s great for full sheet processing. ? Wade On Jun 10, 2023, at 5:52 PM, abruptlly via groups.io <abruptlly@...> wrote:

Okay.. having used an A3-31 then upgrading to a used AD741 (green and grey model) I can add my 2 cents:

开云体育I am not sure, but I have a 2800 and wouldn’t want to go down to the 2500. Room for clamps ect.Mark Foster On Jun 10, 2023, at 17:52, abruptlly via groups.io <abruptlly@...> wrote:

Re: F700Z or F700M + Tenoning Slider Table/Aigner Contermax
Hi Albert,
If I’m understanding this correctly your bump stop positions the table for different length tenons and then you have to move the length stop on the cross fence for different lengths. If that’s correct seems like your material has to be precut to length then move the stop on the cross fence every time length changes? Maybe I’m missing something. With the bump stop on the other end you just cut all the parts to length, hit the bump stop not using the stops on the cross fence. Very fast and simple. Martin and other German and Italian makers used to put saw blades on shapers that would swing in like a power feed. In that case the bump stop was not used the tenon length is set with the saw blade and the fence set tolength. Accurate length and tenon in one operation. Martin just recently quit putting the Festo cross fence with 3 positions so frame and sash could be made in one setting. It was irrelevant without the saw blade. Modern Euro tenoners work without bump stops as the sawblade and cross fence move in conjunction with each other. See pictures. SCM has a really slick small single end tenoner that would be good for the small Joinery shop. The Ten 220. It has interchangeable shafts and the saw blade has mechanical digital readout. |
