Re: Hammer A3-31 issue

I spoke with a tech yesterday. While being very nice etc, he suggested maybe putting some washers under the 6 screws to raise it up. I was hoping for something better than a? "make do" approach. It seems the fence is tilted from front to back and should not be that way. I will figure it out on my own. Once I install the extension table, I will see if I can raise the bracket to help the cause, however I am sure the bracket is installed exactly to the specs given to me in the manual.

Re: Fritz and Fran jigs

Could one of you post a picture of your jig plus the contact information please? How much does it cost?

Thanks,

David,

That review was fantastic. You should consider making more video reviews of whatever you fancy. Bonus: you taught us how you make your Caesar salad dressing. Thanks.?

Warm regards,
Lucky

Re: Eagerly awaiting info on the new Felder FW 850...

Edited

I had looked into these Unitek sanders available here in Oz.

Apparently they're Italian made.?

The little 650mm wide model weighs 850kg so they sound like they're solidly made.?

Has anyone heard much about the Unitek sanders?

The 650mm Nice is about 20K AUD.?

Cheers
Michael

I love my PantoRouter it¡¯s a great machine. It¡¯s been a game changer in my work flow. And the same goes for my KF700. I don¡¯t know how I went this long without a slider.?

Re: Felder/Hammer setup in a small space

Sorry hit send too soon. Thank you for the welcome. I¡¯ve already made a couple small cabinets with it. I just started a curvy dresser. I¡¯ll post some pictures once I get farther along on it.?

Re: Felder/Hammer setup in a small space

I had thought about getting the mobile fence transport cart. But I think it will take up too much space. I¡¯m going to make a rack on the wall to store it.?

The PantoRouter is so useful in my shop. It gets a lot of use.?

Re: Felder/Hammer setup in a small space

I gotta get my hands on a PantoRouter to reverse engineer it :).?

For a small shop with a slider (which I have as well) the crosscut fence + outrigger is the thing that almost always gets in my way. I don't know if the ?is compatible with your make of fence but it has made a big difference is access to valuable floor space for me.?

Welcome to the forum and let us know what you plan to make with this setup!?

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.

A couple of questions, do you intend to use the cross cut fence in conjunction with the parallel fence? Or are you looking to use just parallel fences alone? Do you prefer digital or analog?

I think the usage scenarios are what dictate the need. If you constantly rip long lengths but at predictable and constant widths like say for cabinet carcasses, you could make static parallel guides for very little cost and they'd be dead on accurate. For more flexibility, you could get by and use the crosscut fence with one adjustable parallel guide and be well equipped. To save space (if space is a constraint, it is for me), you can take off the crosscut fence and use two parallel guides.?

For additional repeatability and accuracy, you can go digital but at a big price jump.

Hopefully these considerations can help you arrive at a solution that works for your needs.?

I read through this when I made my first version:
