Re: PantoRouter dovetail auxiliary table

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Nicely done. I bought a used Fletcher 4000 in a package deal. It uses an I-Beam style insert as opposed to bowtie. Have not used it yet but my friend made about a 100 frames with it. Used in picture framing industry. If lucky you can pick one for couple of hundred.

The table is very similar to the auxiliary table in this video?.

Three registration blocks can be used to make sure it is mounted on the exact calibrated position every single time, this guarantees that the auxiliary table is perfectly centered, then the perfect matching dovetail slots can be milled on the two jointing pieces.

This is the prototype, the result is very encouraging. I need to make a few different length pieces that I can insert into the vertical template slot as the stop based on the length of the dovetail key.

I used the regular 14 degree dovetail bit, the cut is not clean at all. I think Microjig matchfit dovetail router bit is the solution.?

New Facebook Felder Group

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hello All,

After joining couple of Felder facebook groups, I wanted a group that was regional. Goal being that along with all the benefits one could drive from such group, there is a possibility of people getting to know each other, especially ones that are located near each other.

With this thought, I created Midwest Felder Owners Group on Facebook. After I announced it on the two Felder groups, people really wanted to join, even though they are not in midwest. I figured there is strength in numbers so it is open to all. However, I feel strongly about my initially stated goal. So hopefully, in time, perhaps with ideas from others, we will figure out a way to do so. Maybe, we will end up with multiple regions covering all of USA, who knows.

Here is a link for ones interested in joining this group.

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

Hi Albert.

im from Norway, so dont know how felder operate in the USA.
the dealership here in Norway was supposed to help me tune up the saw once I got it assembled and connected to power¡ but now they want to research what the problem might be before they come out to ¡°commission¡±.
this "service" is included as well, but kinda sad it didn¡¯t go as planned ?

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

I dont know how Felder operate in USA. are you able to get a technician in?
normally if its here in New Zealand, it involves with a technician onsite to commission the machine, all inclusive.?

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

Hi Mike.?

think the voltage is good.?

tried the outlet with another machine and it worked just fine.

has to be something with the saw I¡¯m afraid :(

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

We had that clicking noise when out 3phase convertor lost power. ?Is voltage input good?

Those were the only things I could think of. Sorry, just noted, you had already mentioned blade cover. As Brian mentioned, you have to work with Felder now. With clicking you mentioned, I imagine a phase is missing.

tried the e stop as Brian and you suggested but still nothing.

haven¡¯t double checked the back panel, but it¡¯s on and can¡¯t recall seeing any micro switches there either.

micro switch on the bladcover is engaged.

Don¡¯t think there¡¯s any lights on this saw as it¡¯s ?manual rise/fall/tilt and unfortunately no scoring blade¡( sales man didn¡¯t mention it was an option¡ though it was standard on this saw aggregate)

Re: Hammer HS950 Edge Sander #whatmachinetobuy

It is totally stable.? Possibly better than with the factory setup because the bottom is bolted to a solid panel vs. the 4 posts from the factory.

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

Yes, my display came on and everything seemed to be in order but the blade would not turn on. No blinking indicator, nothing! A quick jiggle on that connection and it worked. I also had an issue with sawdust on the ways interfering with that switch. Bizarre, but doubt that would be an issue on a brand new saw.?

Check that connector closely, mine got caught and it pulled the pin just enough that it wouldn¡¯t make contact there was no visible damage, I noticed that one pin was slightly shorter than the other

did you¡¯re saw not turn on without it??

just curious, maybe it¡¯s something wrong with the switch on my slider?

Re: My New k740 saw is not working

There was a wiring connector below the slider that needed to be plugged in on my saw. I believe this was the wire for the switch on the end of the slider. A possibility?

You are going to have to get permission to open up the electrical panel and have them give you some trouble shooting to do. Especially with a brand new machine that could have had wires jiggle loose in shipment.
