When I ordered the ProLock 1 1/4” spindle caps we had to order 4 to make a minimum custom order.
I ordered them directly from ProLock and picked them up at LIGNA that year.?

Re: K700S Power-Drive wont tilt
The positioning system has probably convinced itself a fault condition exists, or the power supply to the servo motor has a blown fuse. ?I had this issue with my Kappa 400 (same tilt controls as your machine). ?Once the system faults, you have to manually apply 24V power to the servo motor to drive it out of the fault condition. ?After I did that and the machine power cycled, ?it was fine again. ?I was able to do this using a 18V battery from one of my cordless drills, but it was certainly a PITA. ?Felder service walked me through the process over the phone.

It's a long video, so I increase playback speed, allowing me to capture the essence and yet not invest too much time.

? ? ? ? ?As a furniture and cabinet maker, I too have been tempted at times to try BBirch for slab doors.? I've resisted the temptation, as experience has shown that 20-30% of the sheets develop wind (twist). So, though MDF is not my favorite substance, it's what you do with veneers. (Unless you're forming curved panels, which is basically making you own ply.)
While I don't mean to argue for the manufacturers, it's worth pointing out that this does not seem to be unique to one brand. It's just what the material can do, regardless environmental conditions and timing of the build, who left the humidifier running too long, etc. If it's that sensitive, it's the wrong material for the application.
? ?I've done lots more slab doors lately, as that's what's trending now. Particle board with melamine prints all the way up to textured HPL is all the rage. (And they're paying close to $400 a sheet for this artificial, plastic look - ain't it sad!) Follow the rules for veneering (both sides) and things work out well. Just leave the Apple ply and BBirch for jig making and shop fixtures.?
? ? When making solid wood slab doors, you simply must put battens on the back side, and be sure to include oblong holes on the far ends so those guys can flow through their annual breathing cycle without incident. Perhaps a rude awakening for some home-owners to see an old-fashioned looking brace on the? inside back, but the rules of wood movement don't change just because their style preferences did.??
More and more, my business is becoming a higher percentage of what I'll call integrated cabinetry, vs free standing furniture. = more kitchen/bath/built in work and inevitably, more slabs.
None of this should generate fear, just follow the rules of dealing with wood movement, whether solid or veneered, and things should go well.
Just don't let them talk you into insets with solid wood slabs!

K700S Power-Drive wont tilt
Hello, I have a 2013 K700S with Power-Drive and suddenly it will not tilt (raise and lower works fine).? When i turn the switch, or push the micro adjust button, i get nothing...no hum, no buzz..nothing.? Does anybody know of anything i can check before i call service tomorrow?

That video is for a Hammer chassis. ?The photos Bill posted are for a Kappa 40 or 400 machine. ? The 700-series external cap for the dado cutter is different. ? The following illustrates the proper outside cap for use with a dado cutter on the 700-series machines with pins.
If you don’t have this style external cap, then you need to use shims/spacers on the outside of the dado cutter like you would on your spindle shaper to pad out the arbor length so that the cap you do have compresses the dado stack securely.

I have removed the saw blade and the spacer behind the blade.? I only have the 12-19 dado set.? I have 1 each of 2, 3, and 4mm spacers.? I wish to cut a 12mm slot so I am not adding any spacers between the cutters since that is the smallest
dado the set will make.? ?
When I put, for lack of knowledge, the lock-nut and allen bolt on the dado set to tighten it, the cutters are loose and no matter how I tighten the bolt they stay loose. I put the 4mm spacer on the outside of the dado set and then installed
the locknut and allen bolt and it tightened right up. ?
My question is, do I need to place a spacer on the outside of the cutters between the lock-nut and the cutters?? Without the spacer, the cutters are loose.? I wasn’t sure if the spacers are the right ones as I received them with the saw
when I purchased the machine.? I bought the dado set used and it did not come with any spacers.?

Mike,? Are you doing inset doors like Kerf does? That, in addition to them being set back from the face a bit might be key to hiding warp.
I checked with States Industries this week on their take using Appleply for doors. They also show cabinet doors (first photo on the website actually). But no, they do not advise using for doors, and will not warranty the product in that application. Face palm. I called them on the misleading, maybe even false advertising nature and they said they'll look?into changing it. Doesn't help my kitchen project though.
Personally, I would run from that job.?

Bill,
A different way to explain is that the arbor length is fixed. You basically need to add spacers on the arbor so that your total stack is wide enough for the flange to apply securing force.
I was told that if the blade clears the rip side then you may add all spacers in front. I still prefer adding some on both sides.
The exploded diagram for my K975 shows the shim set needed for dado (3, 6 & 9mm). If you are not sure that you have the full set you may check your saw book.

My KF700 has an interior spacer when the saw blade is installed, but I must take it out when using the dado set.? No interior spacer is needed as the dado clears the saw without one.

I believe you should also have a spacer to move the blade out further on the arbor - I can’t remember the size but some one I am sure will chime in. ?That may tighten it up for you
The setup on the left us for a regular blade, the one on the right is for the dado set.

First time using my dado set up on my Felder 2016 KF700S and I could use some help so I am reaching out to the smart folk on the FOG.
?
I have removed the saw blade and the spacer behind the blade.? I only have the 12-19 dado set.? I have 1 each of 2, 3, and 4mm spacers.? I wish to cut a 12mm slot so I am not adding any spacers between the cutters since that is the smallest
dado the set will make.?
?
When I put, for lack of knowledge, the lock-nut and allen bolt on the dado set to tighten it, the cutters are loose and no matter how I tighten the bolt they stay loose. I put the 4mm spacer on the outside of the dado set and then installed
the locknut and allen bolt and it tightened right up.
?
My question is, do I need to place a spacer on the outside of the cutters between the lock-nut and the cutters?? Without the spacer, the cutters are loose.? I wasn’t sure if the spacers are the right ones as I received them with the saw
when I purchased the machine.? I bought the dado set used and it did not come with any spacers.?
?
Here are some pictures showing what I’m doing just to be clear as possible. Sorry if they show too large.

I just want to make sure I’m doing this right before I crash and burn.? Actually, so I don’t crash and burn, LOL!

Yes the spacers are to make up the difference so you can tighten up the flange, also like Bill showed the smaller flange is for the dado?
