Re: Anyone install a Byrd helical shelix head on a Hammer A3-31?
Marshall, to my knowledge the question has NOT been answered. I'm still trying to get any info I can
After a lot of research, it appears that before Felder released their Quiet Head per customer request they would install the Byrd Head on the PJ. After releasing their own head they stated that they did NOT recommend 3rd party heads and only offered the Quiet Head on new machines, e.g. you had to purchase a new machine to get it. There are at least two sources to order the Byrd head at a discount. I've been communicating with MyWoodCutters.

Re: 2017 AD941
I paid 13,100 for a 941 and a fat 300 last year. The 300 with a multiplex top was about 1850 before?any discounts. They didn't break down the two pieces so I can't be exact. As far as used, I personally wouldn't pay much more than 75% of new but that's me, even then I wouldn't wanted it very used.? Like maybe a little old lady only used it on Sunday afternoons? I like new stuff. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI was asked to do something similar with a TV. No experience with these lifts. Is the hardware for a TV similar to the appliance lift? Equally as troublesome? It seems like a problematic idea to me just because you¡¯ve got a bunch of wiring to the TV which could get bound up in the up and down motion. Re: Kitchen Appliance Lifts
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýFWIW, our cabinet dimensions between face frames is 29 1/8 x 17 1/4 and shelf is 15.5¡± below face frame. The lift actually moves the shelf up at the end of the travel when stowing. So the KA sits higher in the cabinet than face frame. Maybe the unit had been changed over time, our unit¡¯s height is 16.5¡±. On Feb 18, 2021, at 9:05 AM, Ross Taylor <taylor.ross@...> wrote:

Re: Air line fittings
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý+1 for the Legris fittings. I also have the hi-flo Prevost fittings and have had no problem with them either. The Legris quick connects have a bi-directional twist mechanism. To disconnect, it requires two hands, and a twisting motion in one direction (to relieve pressure), followed by a twisting motion in the other (to disconnect the hose). This is slightly less convenient because of the requirement for two hands, but the mechanism itself reeks of quality. And the disconnect process is very quiet. And it is practically impossible for the quick connect to come apart inadvertently.? The Prevost quick connects (at least the ones I have) have a push-button mechanism. The mechanism can be operated one-handed, and the relief of pressure and disconnection is achieved all by a one-press-of-a-button. Over the several years that I have had these in my shop, they have not failed, and I actually prefer the one-handed mechanism. But I have heard that Prevost can fail (leak), so it is a bit hard for me to be unequivocal about recommending them. Also, on a coupe of occasions I have dragged a hose around my shop and the mechanism has disconnected inadvertently when the button happened to snag on a corner. No big deal because the pressure is relieved (no hose going ¡°bang¡± and whipping around), but ¡ So take your pick. The one-handed convenience means the connection is not quite as secure. I have quite a bit of Legris in my shop (quick connects, coil hoses, blow guns) and they are all of very high quality and worth the money IMO. Hope this helps. Lucky

The frustration continues to mount in our shop over quick connect fittings, both on flexible hose lines and rigid pipe connections. We also have a hodgepodge of different sizes because the Dynabrade rep recommended using high flow fittings
for sander connection. The stuff we've been buying at our big box store is total junk. They leak inside of a year. Our next door neighbor is an air compressor service tech, and surprisingly he has no wisdom for us. Anybody have good, long lasting fittings

Re: Electrical Problem with CF731 Pro
My 2005 KF700 saw just stopped working also.? I have yet to start taking it apart to trace the wiring.? I was told by another Felder owner that there is also a small fuse that might have blown. I am not sure where that fuse is located.? I was going the check the shaper door switch and look for the fuse first.? If not that I will try switching the table saw for the shaper in the selector switch.?
If anyone has a wiring diagram for my saw I would be interested in a copy. Thanks, John |
