Re: Auction in WA with unipoint RAS, Lift tables, Altendorf, Resaw Bandsaw Etc
Since wide belts were mentioned, is it possible to get a multi roller (sanding station) version and run with only one thereby lowering the power draw? Having never seen one I am not clear if they use separate motors for each section or if they are mechanically driven.?

Dave, ?I don't understand "?I've had machinery max bid stuff back?".? Are you saying that someone that won an item may not get it because Machinery Max didn't think it went for enough so they void the sale? Thanks, Dave Davies On Mon, Jan 25, 2021 at 4:42 PM David Kumm <davekumm@...> wrote:

Hi Imran,
That auction closed today. ?I picked up the 4x8 lift table, disc sander and forklift. ?Now just have to get them home during in what is shaping up to be really poor weather.
The wide belt sanders sold for low $$. ?I would have loved to get one, except for the fact that upgrades to my electrical system and dust collection would cost much more than the sander. Alex

Nice...and if they are saying the forklift will be a delayed load because they are using it for loadout you have to feel pretty confident that it works. Dave Davies On Mon, Jan 25, 2021 at 4:39 PM Alex Bowlds <aabj@...> wrote:

Re: Air Compressor Big and Small- David Kumm Style
I have a 2011 model year Quincy QT-54 single phase 5HP 220v vertical tank model running on a 20 amp circuit without issue. My use case driving the purchase was to run an automotive HVLP spray gun and plasma cutter both of which made it run near continuously. A 60 gal tank at 175 psi will run brad nailers for ages without running again. Runs "quiet" compared to similar looking box store compressors with a slightly smoother lower pitch running at 1310 rpm and I have it mounted on rubber isolation pads with a section of flexible hose between the tank and distribution manifold . Air spec is 15.7 cfm at 100PSI or 15.2cfm at 175 for reference. Mine is inside and in a dry climate....if it was difficult to access an auto drain would certainly be a recommended upgrade. Single phase was my choice (US Baldor motor) preserving my limited 3 phase converter capacity for other machines running concurrently. The area I found most irritating was locating pressure regulators designed for 175 psi....quite a few retailers list max 145psi rated units alongside compressors putting out more.?

Each ON and OFF switch has a redundant terminal on my machine. Just put the meter probes in the unused holes and look for short (red NC) or open (green NO). Also check for state change when the button is pushed. ? Per my other msg, switch fault is not my first choice because they have gone bad on mine (start sw) but it does not create the situation where power cycle is needed. ? Imran

Re: Auction in WA with unipoint RAS, Lift tables, Altendorf, Resaw Bandsaw Etc
The "new" Casadei machines are close enough to pick up. In particular the F25 tilting shaper currently at $4K. Anyone have experience with the brand and if it is worth pursuing even without a sliding table? Use scenario small shop with furniture making dreams. (Have an old Delta used twice mainly due to the guard being such a pain and having a first piece explode placing it on my most feared machine list. Not worth much to sell and begs to be converted into a router table...too many ideas.) Would add an Aigner guard to any new machine and dream of the tilt up version on the Felder Profil 45 but that's dreaming money.

Re: Clamping and Saw System Set (Fritz and Franz)
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý? Mike, This is made by RUWI and some folks here have this setup. I am not sure how long Felder has been selling it though. I would think it should work on your older slider but I will leave that for someone who knows for sure to answer. You can always call felder to confirm. I know that pre-xroll slider nuts fit xroll but the other way may or may not be true because pre xroll slider nuts, like yours, require a bit more radius along the long bottom edges. If the X-roll nut does not fit yours, it is super easy to radius the bottom edge with a grinder. Hope this helps. Imran On Jan 25, 2021, at 3:16 PM, Mike@... wrote:

Should I be looking at a 3-phase or single phase compressors for the 60-80 gallon size with use of a phase perfect? As suggested by Dave Kumm, I will be using a small pancake style compressor for most jobs around the shop and only the large when using
the blast cabinet or other heavy air tools. ?
Any finally, are there any advantages of the horizontal vs vertical beyond space utilization? ? Anthony? |

That looks close to what I have.? I haven't looked in a hundred years but that gets you there.? I can run both compressors through the dryer but almost never bother with the small Jun Air.? I only run that for pneumatic clamps or nail guns and the use is so
little I don't feel the need.? The dryer is used in the summer with the larger compressor.? Dave

To my question....
