开云体育Extend your short beam that’s closest to the blade guard and add two sets of the linear bearings spaced 12” to 16” apart and it will be worlds more stable. The plastic UHMW bearinsg they use with 8020 are a bit sloppy. If you really want nice movement, purchase some linear rails and trucks off ebay and integrate those.

Sang, ? Do you keep all of these 80/20 bits just sitting in a box somewhere?? The stuff isn't cheap. Re: The Annex workshop addition
Is there stock/material storage somewhere in the layout? If you process large panels / sheet goods that would need ample space around for maneuvering onto the sliding TS. Related to this would be the flow of lumber from point A to B, as well as from the entry point of your shop, I've often overlooked the fact that raw material is large and I've taken out my track saw more than once to be able to bring into the shop and process (by myself).?
How high are your ceilings? Having them taller provides obvious advantages but some downsides too -- cost of cooling/heating is one -- but it does open things up visually / mentally in terms of feeling of spaciousness. I went from 8' to 14' ceilings in my workshop remodel and love them! The 3d printouts are a nice way to visualize!? |

开云体育i do not know how the wall will look with gloss paint but sure would be easy to clean. i think i have satin. white for ceiling and a light color for walls but dust does adhere to the wall. imran? On Jul 17, 2020, at 3:28 PM, trgoodman47 <thomasrgoodman@...> wrote:

Hi Tom,?
I am certainly playing with putting the dust collector in a basement below and then popping up once and having overhead runs everywhere to allow for changes. ? Your system sounds really dialed and clean. ?I really like the idea of a very bright space that the white ceiling would provide!? Thanks so much,? Anthony? |
Re: Kaeser Airtower
开云体育In Wichita I would be, but you can always find a dryer. Good industrial ones can be had used, or dare I say it, Harbor Freight sells one and I know quite a few folks that have used them and they seem to work well. Again, CFM capacity will make the difference on what unit you go looking for.

Quincy makes about three levels of compressors.? The QT is the cheap pump, the QR is still the expensive but pressure lubed best pump.? Used QR can be found and are pretty easy to rebuild.? I've done a couple and not a long term project.? Quincy sells rebuild
kits with new gaskets and rings.? The valve clean up with Evaporust and sand paper on a flat surface.? The key to dealing with the sound is a slow running pump.? The put put put is actually kind of soothing compared to everything else- including my wife.?

There are piston versions with dryer.? And it’s easy to add a dryer.? Rick who replied should add a dryer as he lives on the ocean ? ? If buying new I would be a Quincy or Ingersol Rand with a dryer from the same maker.? I have an old Quincy with a oil pump like a car or truck for pressure driven lube.? When researching I found an article on compressor robustness written by a compressor dealer.? For every compressor they carry they require the manufacturer to supply one test unit and the test is to open the valve and turn it on, let it run all weekend.? They said very few splash lube compressors can run 48 hrs without seizing.? No Chinese pumps could handle the test.? This was maybe 10 years ago. ?

The reason I was looking at the Kaeser is the air dryer that is part of the system. Should I not be concerned about that?
