Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
I recently rented a warehouse forklift from United Rentals for a half day with trailer to haul it to my shop for $150 to unload my K700S and FB710. Another option for you would be to call a tow truck

Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
Aaron is correct, at least my policy, Liberty Mutual at that time, would not cover rented trailer or the contents. However for very little money I added that insurance twice now with LM. I could have

Re: What’s wrong with my Thicknesser?
It appears my video uploads didn’t work.
the sound is like a chugging sound, and after doing some online reading the belt is my next suspect.

Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
Lucky,
I didn’t had an issue pushing a pallet jack with a machine on it through the driveway slop.
The SCM FS7 (1271kg) required some pushing, but the pallet jack didn’t have issue with the

That would be 14 percent, not 14 degrees. 38-44" rise over a 20' run, so about 8-9°.

Be aware that if you try to move it yourself with a rented trailer or whatnot, many auto insurance companies will not cover anything on the trailer regarding accidents or damage.?? That's a very

Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
Is anyone taking into account the 14 degrees incline or decline (I missed that detail?) of the driveway... That’s very steep! I would not want to operate a forklift with a load this big and heavy.

Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
Yeah the crates are too large/heavy for a liftgate and the driveway is too kinky for a pallet jack. Forklift seems to be the easiest option...

I would hesitate to have a lift-gate delivery a machine this big.?? The Felder warehouse won't even ship these size machines on a lift-gate truck anymore.?? The danger and risk of machine damage

A little late to the reply party there haha, yeah with a 14% grade, definatley a forklift would be ideal. As it sounds like your getting comfortable with potentially operating one, check out your

Re: Feedback on the sliding saw selection
Congratulations,
It should arrive on a lift gate service, all you need is a narrow pallet jack and its easy to remove from the crate. Make sure to fully inspect the slider box, as its the one that

Yes, seeing Steve's Minimax within the confines of his garage was what nudged me towards a short stroke.

Re: Slider alignment question
For anyone it may help, I ordered a throat plate for the K940S from Bill Belanger. It immediately solved the issue of small cutoff kick back and jamming between the blade and the plate.
