Mac and I have discussed this before. I believe he started with two plastic and lightweight drums. Then cut off the ends of the drums. What¡¯s left is a plastic cylinder sleeve. Put the sleeve on

I have a S45n and the biggest problem for me is the blade tension wheel is on top of the saw and I find it difficult to use as I am only 5'4" tall. Despite what MM recommend it will not tension a 1"

Colum, I recommend you alter your workflow to make parallel cuts to the left of the saw blade using the crosscut stop in conjunction with a parallel fence stop. This is discussed in the two articles
