Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Not a great pic do you can see what I mean with the planer being in the way of the parallel fence. The support itself is fine, it¡¯s only a problem when I try to use the parallel fence attachment

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
If you put your K700 on feet you may be able to get the parallel guide to ride over the planer? Dave Davies

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Felder sent me their parallel fence for free as part of the thanksgiving promo sale that happened just after I ordered my k700s. My shop layout doesn¡¯t allow me to use the parallel fence in its

Re: I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
I have both and prefer Brian¡¯s. Its lighter and simpler to use. I have the digital version, not sure if Felder makes one or not. The Felder version I have is analog. I still use the Felder as a base

I¡¯m on the fence, about choosing a parallel fence.
Hey F.O.G. I¡¯m in need of a parallel fence to use with my K700S. ?Unless you make your own, I see only two marketed ones to choose from, Felder¡¯s version vs Lamb¡¯s version. ?I see pros/cons

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
For what it's worth here is a photo of my A3-31 fence. The outfeed end of the fence is 1/4" off the table. It has to be since it is a machined offset.

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I use a magport connector for DC on mine. Switching the DC takes less than 10 seconds--less an issue than dialing the planer table up or down during the conversion.

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I did finally figure about the gear lever. All is well, so far, other than the DC hose is a problem until I figure out how to deal with it when changing over to jointing or planeing. Once I get the

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I can¡¯t tell from the picture, but I suspect there is enough clearance on the bolts that hold the bracket on the back of that extrusion to loosen and tilt it slightly. I don¡¯t know about Hammer

Where do you buy the versaflo system?

You also plane (thickness) in the opposite direction from jointing. Dummy me actually made this mistake. Once. [email protected]> wrote:

Did you engage the gear lever when planing?

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I have the infeed table set down enough to joint as I need. The infeed side of the jointer fence still touches the tabletop.

Re: Eagerly awaiting info on the new Felder FW 850...
This caught my attention as I¡¯ve been looking for a wide belt that¡¯s a fit for my shop (therefore 25¡±). I reached out to Felder rep who said first machines will be in NA Jan 2023 initially

Re: Motor rating vs circuit size
Thanks to all on these great posts and all the information shared. I will be, hopefully, getting my K700 next month. It will have the single phase 4hp, 60 Hz motor. The Felder sales rep. told me that

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I just set my A3-31 up last week. I went to check mine just now. Just a thought is your infeed bed set to zero cut , maybe the reason the fence is touching the bed. I know my outfeed side of the fence

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
I will try to get pictures up this afternoon. I just jointed a board and all is well with that other than a high pitched whistle noise, but when I flipped it over to try to plane that board, it would

Re: Hammer A3-31 issue
That does not sound right.? However, the outfeed end of the fence is a bad reference since it is stepped up by about 1/4 inch to have the necessary clearance for the infeed table when adjusting

Re: saw setup pics
Having just completed my own duct work, I¡¯ll second the saw envy. I used a cut-off saw which was more time consuming than a grinder because the pipe wouldn¡¯t fit under the blade, but I think I
