Should have no issues, the standard motor on the 2019 k700s that I had seemed to have plenty of power.

Whelp, that did not disappoint. Fantastic entry door! I perused the site for a minute and those are some awesome doors. The glass is definitely a nice touch, i remember watching a short youtube video of a door company in california, and they had an awesome glass fabricator too. The one panel they did looked like a watercolor painting, it was sweet. didnt hurt that the shop had a bunch of martin equipment to stare at during the build process.?

How is the door business? Thats the one facet of the craft where i think i would focus if i had to make a living at it.?

Re: B f 6-26 #forsale

Johnathan

What its worth will depend on factors like,?
what year it was built
what length of sliding table 900 or 1200mm?
Whether the sliding table was anodised and what condition it is in.
Whether it has the s coupling or the F coupling on the table edges

I've seen one BF6-26 single phase? on Ebay in the last 10 years I believe it went for over ?3,500 may be even ?4K+
There was also a BF6-31 1Ph a few years ago that went for similar money.

Personally I would never part with mine even when I had to put it into storage due to lack of space?
but if you are going to part with it consider splitting off some of the accessories and selling them separately.

Things that are no longer available like:
The high speed router spindle?
Spindle shafts for the single vee belt
S coupling extension tables?
Outrigger table swing arm and long cross cut fence
.
Could all go for quite good amounts as there are a lot of second and third generation owners who call the UK sales office for bits that they cannot supply.

You need to leave all the original kit on the machine itself but the extras could be worth quiet a bit.

Ultimately it will depend on the day if there is some one willing to pay the asking price or if you can create a bidding war.

regards?

Paul

Hi everyone hope all safe? iam contemplating selling my BF 6 -26? as I don't use it as much as I did ,was 3 phase? but had a electronic converter fitted? so it brakes as well , bits and pieces and a dust extractor? could anyone speculate how much its worth I can't see one for sale anywhere in the UK thanks from Jonathan?

Re: C3-41 dust collection #dustcollection

No, not much torque at all.? ?A quick? twist breaks them free easily.? I'm not very strong, so can assure you it's very simple.? You will, of course, have to disconnect, move the hose, and reconnect when you go from jointer to planer.? It takes literally another 10 seconds and would probably be even quicker if I converted the machines from one mode to the other more often.? Dave at Magport has been very helpful in determining exactly what's needed--I've seen youtube videos of how to make your own--by the time I bought good rare earth magnets, it isn't much of a cost savings, and his look slicker.? Good luck.? Jeff

On Wed, Mar 3, 2021 at 2:14 PM <speedrrracer@...> wrote:
Thanks, Jeff -- those magports seem slick. ? I'd only need 2 for the C341, 1 for the hose and 1 for the bandsaw wye connector, so not the level of sticker shock that I might otherwise experience if I had a large number of machines.? Do they require a lot of torque to break free, or is there a trick to separating the powerful magnets without expending a lot of effort?

Tom, those links are great, thanks so much.? My bandsaw is very similar (PM1500) and has 2 4" ports as well.? I hope you don't mind if I ask you a follow-up question.? So I attach that Felder quick connector to the end of my 5" hose, and then the other end of the Felder quick connector fits easily over the ports on the C341.? Perfect.??? Getting greedy, I'm wondering if that same solution will stretch to the bandsaw, or if I'd need something further.? Does that quick connector then fit into or over the 5" side of the Oneida reducer you mention, or is there an adapter to enable it to mate directly to that reducer??
My thinking is that if I use a hose clamp to attach the quick connector to my hose, it would be annoying to have to undo the hose clamp and remove the quick connector just so I can switch the dust collection over to the bandsaw, then re-do it all going back to the C341.?

Hi Shawn! Yes, it is I. Thanks for the nice compliment, but to the contrary the real work of art in our house is our front door. To this day, when we open it, we often see whoever is standing there staring at it in admiration. You, together with Ted Ellison who did the stained glass made that happen. Thank you!

#spiralcutterhead #wanted #spiralcutterhead #wanted

Hello all... been a long time since I've been here.... good to see it's all still going on

I have an AD 741 with the power drive and the straight blades cutter head
I'd like to convert it to the Byrd Shelix cutter head, which seems to be possible
However I am not a competent enough mechanic to do that...

So I am wondering if there is such a person in my area who would be willing to do that conversion for pay???
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a little to the North side, namely in Petaluma [close to Santa Rosa on the maps]
IF you are that person or know of anyone I could contact, PLEASE give me a shout by email at:
hopi@...

thanks much
