?a tad off topic but I feel a need to mention it.
I used to use Johnson¡¯s paste wax to lubricate my machine tables, and had persistent problems w/ fish eye downstream when finishing pieces. I eventually decided that Johnson¡¯s must have silicone of some sort in it, so I ?cleaned all my tools w/ mineral spirits and switched to a wax that was guaranteed silicone free. I haven¡¯t had problems w/ fish eye since.
Anyone else w/ similar experiences?

Jason, many reasons. - I wanted to use my shiny new shaper =) - The joints are nice looking - I wanted to miter the joints and needed some more glue area, tenons solves this - The stool I'm trying to build (from an image) had similar joints Some more work, but it's coming along.

I did a similar joint years ago, one of my first projects with the Felder. A dining table and I did a double bridle/mitered joint¡ was fun and looked great.

Gil - I had a two year old f700 with a 4wheel feeder I sold two years ago for $7,000 - all the equipment listed about but no cutters, I also had a 30mm spindle along with the 1.25¡± spindle- this seems high to me depending on the tooling and the type of tooling

Seriously beautiful joint! Jealous- still awaiting calibration and commissioning of my shaper. Covid boarder closures have meant that Lucky can't visit from Queensland and the technician can't come into New South Wales from Melbourne.by. Maybe for Christmas.

1) I rent a drop deck trailer and drive from Phoenix to LA, spend the night, and on the next day the seller forklifts on the trailer.? When I get home unload with pallet jack.
2) Friend has access to a car trailer.? I fly out and we have the seller forklift onto the car trailer.? We would then drive it back with his Ford Expedition and then rent a forklift in Phoenix to unload.? I've never driven a forklift so there is that.

I have an older A3-31, and if I do not keep the planer bed waxed, I get ¡°grabbing¡± and snipe in the infeed. ?I don¡¯t know if this will help on the out feed. ?I use Johnson furniture wax to lubricate the jointer and planer beds.
