Re: C3-31 setup

The commissioning service is about CDN $500 plus tax for local visit ( an hour driving from Felder Missisauga office to customer site). That was what I paid for KF700sp commissioning service in Sep, 2016 when the machine was delivered ( delivery fee was extra).

3 month after the commissions service, I adjusted sliding table again, cause the sliding table was a bit higher than cast iron table. I spent almost the 3 day long weekend to get to the result that is acceptable for me, not the best result I was expecting, I was really tired.

Having said that, I think you can consider commissioning your C3 by yourself if C3 has 4 bolts under the sliding table, it is a lot easier adjusting the sliding table with 4 bolts than sliding table on KF700sp with 8 bolts.

By commissioning the machine yourself, you get to know your machine better, the knowledge you gain will help you down the road.

Hi guys,

I just spent nearly an hour looking at C3-31 installation/calibration videos.?

It this something I should try myself or simple ask a technician to do? I am sure that given enough time (and patience) I could get a decent level of precision, but it looks like a lot of hours if some of the parts are not perfectly machined/installed at the factory.?

Any idea how much the setup is in Canada??

If you did it yourself, how long did it take? Any regrets?
