Liz Rogers directed my attention to the digital stops and cross cut fence option for the Felder 700 series machines today.? She noted that the setup that is paired with the Kappa series is different from the setup that is paired with the 700 series machine.? I went back to check Felder's website, catalog, and my quote.? Sure enough, I am seeing confusing data.
Page 28 of the current PDF catalog (available online, labeled catalog 2016) pictures the stops that match the ones photographed by David Best.? Same one as pictured on Felder's page for the KF 700 SP and K 700 S.
Page 47 of same catalog shows a different picture of the digital stop for the K 700 series machine.? The black knobs of the digital stop of the Kappa saw are not pictured.??
I then checked my quote's picture of the digital stop.? It is the same as the one on page 47.
To add more to the confusion.? Felder's webpage for the KF 700 SP pictures the digital stop on page 28 (same as the one David has for his Kappa), NOT the one on page 47 or in the PDF quote I received.? ?
I have seen videos of the Kappa series digital stops in operation, both from Felder and from David.? I have not seen the one associated with the K 700 series saw.? Or maybe I just missed the difference all together!??
Looking at the picture on page 47 of the catalog and in my quote PDF, I don't see how the digital stop can be micro adjusted similarly to the Kappa's.??
Has anyone recently took delivery of a K 700 series digital stops?? Can you post some pictures?? Are the digital stops different from the Kappa's?? Does Felder really make two versions of this accessories for the two respective saw classes???
