¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSW,If you are going to make windows with your KF700 and you are want to cut large tenons with cutters larger than 220mm you will run into some problems. To run 300mm cutters on my F700z shaper I had to run them above the table and then run the parts to be tenoned on a spacer. ?Since the sleeves of my large window cutters are 100mm tall I only had about 10 mm of adjustment left in the system. ?One of the reasons I upgraded to a Profile 45z is that I can submerge the big 300mm cutters into the table as the opening in the table is larger than the 700 series shaper. ?I can also run up to 240mm cutters in the shaper hood. ?The F700z was limited to 220mm and the Aigner fence plates only opened to 190mm meaning I could not cut a tenon the full depth available from the Felder 220 mm rebate disks.? You can avoid the large tenon cutters by using dowel construction but to do dowel construction efficiently you will need a machine like a Stegherr FD Junior. There are window cutter sets for other types of windows (non-tilt and turn) that don¡¯t require large tenon disks, which set from rangate are you looking at? Greg at Rangate is a very knowledgable guy and I highly recommend Rangate when it comes to shaper tooling. ? You won¡¯t be sorry if you buy tooling from Greg. ?Great tooling makes things very easy. ?I don¡¯t even have to sand profiles with Rangate/Zuani/Garniga tooling.? Joe in New Orleans
