HI,
I do not have a Felder band saw, but would buy one over the Laguna model.
The frame is much stronger on the Felder, it has an extra reinforcement bar
on the back. I have heard of the 16 inch Laguna band saw bending at the
neck, but that band saw is not made by ACM/Felder. With the Felder you do
not have to pay for the advertising campaign of Laguna Tools either. I would
also feel more comfortable with the service/support side of Felder.
I currently have an Agazzani band saw, 18-inch model. I am very happy with
it, the manufacturing is very high quality, and it is the band saw that is
in the shop of Fine Woodworking. If you are interested in details email me
and I will fill you in. I just want to give you an alternative machine.
