Jon - I had my sparkly new Felder 100x40mm rebate cutter head mounted (last
month's group special). That thing is great - super quiet, powerful, and
quite versatile. It leaves a very smooth cut, and the disposable insert
tooling is slick.. quite an excellent value, I think.
Mark - I do actually have two wireless cameras that could function as web
cams. The thought crossed my mind.
Hmm... it sounds like I'm just going to have to get used to the "industrial
strength" sound this saw makes. I'm going to experiment with modifying the
crown guard to enclose the sides down to the table surface, as this seems to
cut the noise by 9dB. I'll post a picture of the modification if it works
out and seems effective.
It's a beautiful day in Everett today, so back out to do some yard work...
