Is there a woodworking club nearby? The two clubs I participate in (woodworkers and woodturners) are occasionally contacted by people who, like you, have a shop full of tools and also wood to move along. Club members can help by word-of-mouth advertising and also by purchasing.

You may have three categories of items to move: power tools, hand tools, and wood. These appeal to different groups. Some of us hobby guys are suckers for things like classic hand planes, for instance.

Don’t forget the wood, either. The price of hardwood has been going up dramatically, and some of us have been hoarding “special pieces” for years. If your father-in-law did that you may have substantial value just in material.
