Not sure what is wrong with the CT33, but from the spec they should be really close to the CT Midi in respect to performance.
CT midi - 130 cfm at 96¡± static water lift
CT33 - 134 cfm at 90¡± static water lift
maybe it worth sending the unit to Festool for repair.
I am not familiar with the other dust extractor, but I am really happy with the festool one.?
Especially when I have additional festool tools. The ecosystem works really nice (like pairing Bluetooth devices to the DE)
