As mentioned above, gearhead drills are noisy and if I use mine for any length of time I use ear defenders. The big gotcha with the Arboga is do not over lubricate the gears and bearings because the moto is open at the top into the gears and oil can enter the motor and I guess the smoke escapes. I have snapped a 20mm drill on mine and the motor did not even blink so it has plenty of power. A three phase drill press of any style combined with a VFD is an unbeatable combination for stepless speed control.?
