I realize that probably no one in this forum owns a miter saw, but at these price points, this might be a nice way to set stop block.

Thanks for the picture. It looks like I'll need to grind off a couple threads off the hold-down bolt and it will fit. My solution won't be quite as elegant as yours - I tend to use what's lying around and cobble together quickly. For example, the piece of wood in the above picture is because I didn't have the right size nuts, so I went with wood screws.
