I¡¯m considering buying a very lightly used 2015 Kappa 400 Xmotion. I¡¯m told it was never a production machine but lightly used in what sounds like a model shop setting. It appears by the numerous pictures to be complete and in showroom appearance. There¡¯s a video showing it running and I¡¯m told everything works properly. It has the 3200 mm slider that I want and the 10 hp motor. Price I¡¯ve offered and was accepted is about $18K. It¡¯s located across the Canadian border and I am getting a shipping quote.?
I¡¯ve read of concerns re older machines electronics and motor drives failing and being too old to replace; Felder service tells me this is currently well supported. Does the history of minimal usage suggest there should be relatively trouble free years ahead? Other thoughts on this possible purchase?
