Residential panels are usually installed between 16" studs, so they are narrow and thus quite cramped.? ?Commercial panels are almost always surface mounted and there are lots of different sizes and they are always larger.
Wiring often evolves over time in commercial environments, so ease of change is a valuable feature.? But residential wiring rarely changes so ease of change is not important.? If you look at the manufacturers advertising, with residential equipment it's 100% about ease (low skill) and speed of installation, since that's all residential electricians care about.?
Often on FOG there's not a lot context for questions and recommendations.? To a question like "what's a good panel/breaker brand/model?" context is important.? For a typical home shop, the answer is there's no appreciable difference between the many brands.? In a large, dynamic commercial shop, there are different considerations, but what's better for the latter isn't better for the former.
Same issue (little context) for the original "What plug?" question.? ?Unless you know you're going to be moving the Profil 45 around, don't use a plug at all.? Spend $3 on one of these:
