Derek,
Did you say you had plans for your parallel guide??
While I am in the US, not OZ as you say, I too cannot justify or afford Brian Lamb¡¯s wonderful tool.
I have a Hammer C3-31 and your parallel guide may be just what I need¡ to fix my sliding table flaws.

Hi Derek:
And to reiterate my thanks, Derek I appreciate your details, including the how and why. Apart from saving money, which is generally important to all of us, what I¡¯m seeing with your design is a whole different feature-set compared to a traditional
parallel fence. Namely, because your fixture has a fence which is parallel to the trajectory of your sliding table, and since it is very accurately adjustable, you can quickly adjust your fixture and then rip relatively small pieces of timber with ease. As
a hardwood user myself, I can appreciate how easy it would be to dial in such cuts using your fixture. That¡¯s definitely got my attention.?
Thanks a lot for sharing.?
I don't know if you can beat Brian Lamb's fence for simplicity and effectiveness.
There's no need to square another piece of fence to the blade/slider.
Brian's fence and Mac's clamps make an awesome duo.
Bill, first and most importantly, I am offering a free design and not in any way in competition with Brian .. whose work I salivate at! I have no doubt that Brian¡¯s offerings make my design look like the toy it is.
But ¡ it is free to those who, like us in Oz, cannot justify the cost involved in importing Brian¡¯s parallel guide from the US. Lucky asked me for details recently, and I have responded. I don¡¯t get the subsequent defensive attack here. If you know anything
about me, you will know I have been freely offering tool designs for decades.
Regards from Perth
Derek
