Hi Brandon,?
I have nothing but good things to say about the Alpine classes. If you¡¯re new to the sliding table saw and shaper, then the ¡°Advanced Joinery¡± class will give you a huge head start in terms of safe, efficient work practices.?
The Alpine classes are small (6 or fewer), which gives you plenty of access to the instructor and plenty of time on the machines. Joe (instructor) is knowledgeable and patient, and Greg (host) is great at making sure you get the most out of the trip.?
When I took my first Alpine class I already twenty years experience as an on-site remodeling/trim carpenter, but I absolutely got my money¡¯s worth in terms of getting a handle on heavier ¡°shop¡± machinery, and was a real boost as I¡¯m transitioning from primarily on-site to shop- based work.?
For what it¡¯s worth, I have a line item in the company budget to attend an Alpine class every year going forward¡?
