Speaking of lost braking, I just got my single phase K700 a few months ago. It seems to run well but it takes a long time to come to a stop. I never noticed this before on any other saw I owned.? Is this normal for the newer single phase K700s?
Thanks all for your great advice.?

I have used a single VFD on two machines, where one was used often and the other occassionally.? ?VFD to twist lock plug,? unplug one and plug in the other.? ?The usual caveat about NEVER unplugging a motor from the VFD when the motor is running apply.? ?But it was simple.? ? Further, I had two 3 wire control circuits -- I used some old phone wire I think.? ?Each of those ended with a standard 3 prong plug, and wires from a 3 prong outlet running up to the VFD controls.? ?No power of any kind to the outlet, obviously, it was just a convenient way to swap input switches at the same time.? ?It was cheap and simple.? ?One of those machines is now gone, but the Yates jointer is still running via the pair of plugs.??
I didnt got that route with my KF700S (2001), instead using an RPC.? ?But I wouldn't feel nervious doing it.??
