I plan to use a skid-steer with tracks. It may be hard on the grass, but should not rut the sod.
The skid-steer units can be equipped with forks, but for some of the devices the forks are limited in length. Instead of 48¡± forks I might be limited to 42¡± forks.
The skid-steer will have plenty of capacity for the weight. I have a 15-degree slope to negotiate, but that should be OK.
