Re: Flip stops for F&F jig

I always use stop if I need to cut a piece to the length I want. I can always remove the stops if it creates the problem for the cut.

I think the stop is essential for the F&F jig.

I have two F&F jigs, one plain without even a handle, just two bits of plywood and one with Incra fences and flip stops I made some years a go and have never used, not even once. Don't overthink it before you get the saw, I measure off the rip head as a bump stop and measuring from the F&F jig is not needed. Another disadvantage of putting stops on the F&F jig is that when in use the stops create a gap between the two faces preventing smaller pieces being gripped between the two faces.?
