Look up Darren Oates on Instagram. He has a bunch of homemade jigs that he uses on his shaper for curved work, including bow master style rub bearings (really just curved plywood clamped to the shaper table) that allows him to do pattern work.

You might find inspiration of what to do with your limited run.

Warm regards,
Lucky

?Hi Joe,
The Bowmould looks like an awesome tool. If I had a ton of curved work I would want one. I just have 16 arched raised panel wall cab doors to make and probably not many more in my future. I learned something from your reply though, so thanks for taking the time.

?George,

The Aigner Bowmould master is a a good way to get a guide rings of any size and provides much safety as a bonus.

Hi David,
Thanks for the response. I placed an order for some inserts with Rangate on Thursday( 2 days ago) The Rangate guy I usually deal with is away from the office for a couple weeks and another guy is filling in for him. He didn¡¯t know what to tell me off the top his head about rub collars and said he¡¯d check into it and get back with me. I¡¯m sure he will, they always do. I hope nobody misconstrues anything in my post as me saying that anyone at Rangate is not being helpful. Everybody there has always been very helpful and supportive to me. I just have some clients who have picked out some profiles and I¡¯m freaking out because I told them a arched raised panel is no problem. I look at the rail and stile cutter head and just can¡¯t see how it¡¯s done. I¡¯m sure Rangate will get back to me promptly and everything will be fine. I¡¯ve spent about 40 years working for someone else and am not used to being the one who deals with problems associated with owning a small business. I guess I need to get over that and just deal with whatever challenge is next.
Thanks for the link,
George Gerstner
