Here is one of them in my dusty garage. I have more to make to complete the dining set, but I have enough for the butts in my house currently, so I took a break to build other things. I made a rocker years ago, and I remembered the spindles taking forever; however, the final shaping and sanding on these lowbacks together was PAINFUL. The dimensions of these chairs didn’t allow for a RO90 or ETS 150/5 to fit into a lot of places. That meant a bunch of handsanding. For the next set, I intend to raise the backrest and armrests about an inch or so. This will allow for the sander to get into more spaces and fit my personal comfort better. The ergonomics are slightly off with the chairs as they are built.?

I think my backrest wave/finger hold thing needs a bit of work to appear more fluid. It’s nice when pulling the chair out from the table. I also think I will ditch the mini horns on the next ones. They are possibly my favorite aspect of the rocker, but a little weird on the lowback. I can see why maloof said it took him 50 years to get it “just right”. There’s a lot of little things to tweak on a chair.?
