Tom,

If you are interested in Festool power station, I would definitely check operational temp requirement. Battery performance drops in cold temps and you have plenty of that in Minnesota. The technical info on website does not list temp.

?This is great info, thank you gentlemen!?

As Mark Thomas points out, yeah this is a bespoke (made in-house by Mafell) "universal" motor, so there's no re-winding or modifying it.?

Imran, yeah the Festool battery would have limited life, but most days I'm only making a few cuts, so it might still be a feasible option....?

As Jared and Brett point out, the step-up transformers are likely the most straightforward path. Not ideal for hard use, but likely sufficient for intermittent use.?

Brett, I'm with you on plugging in to an existing range or drier outlet, but I'm frequently set up in a customer's driveway, which would make this not really feasible.?

Mac, your 30+ year experience with your Erika bodes well for my 70! Which version do you have? My anxious brain gets rolling sometimes at the thought of a theft or fire event, but I suppose I should cross that road when I come to it.?

I am excited by the concept of the battery-based power stations. Already mentioned is the Festool, but Dewalt has a that accepts multiple 20V batteries. In this scenario, all I'd need is to import a "power station" from overseas (set up for 240V output), then use my local batteries to power it. I'm mostly set up with Hilti and Metabo batteries these days, but I could be persuaded to add another platform is the proper accessory were offered.?

This is helpful to think through "out loud", and I appreciate the input and thoughts.?
