A day where you don¡¯t laugh at yourself is a wasted day, in my opinion. Same thing goes for a day where you don¡¯t learn anything new. You got both for the price of one there, so today is a success!
I have a 2004 kf700, and I¡¯ve never used my 30mm spindle (I use my 1 1/4¡± constantly, 1¡± sometimes, and router spindle regularly). If it fits your machine, I¡¯d be happy to sell it to you, though I¡¯m not sure how to check compatibility. And yes, you need two belts, which I happen to have extras of, again, if they¡¯re compatible. Happy to make measurements and take pictures.?

ok, now I'm just embarrassed. I literally just laughed at my self in the workshop. I pulled the knob and the spindle came right out. For some reason i have just thought of the knob as a spindlelock for when you're unscrewing the collar and such.

FYI my spindel setup/arrangement looks identical to yours, as far as i can tell. Does this mean that my choice of spindles increases? I have been eying the quick change setup but i guess that only fits even newer models than yours.
