Hi there,
?
First time using my dado set up on my Felder 2016 KF700S and I could use some help so I am reaching out to the smart folk on the FOG.
?
I have removed the saw blade and the spacer behind the blade.? I only have the 12-19 dado set.? I have 1 each of 2, 3, and 4mm spacers.? I wish to cut a 12mm slot so I am not adding any spacers between the cutters since that is the smallest
dado the set will make.?
?
When I put, for lack of knowledge, the lock-nut and allen bolt on the dado set to tighten it, the cutters are loose and no matter how I tighten the bolt they stay loose. I put the 4mm spacer on the outside of the dado set and then installed
the locknut and allen bolt and it tightened right up.
?
My question is, do I need to place a spacer on the outside of the cutters between the lock-nut and the cutters?? Without the spacer, the cutters are loose.? I wasn¡¯t sure if the spacers are the right ones as I received them with the saw
when I purchased the machine.? I bought the dado set used and it did not come with any spacers.?
?
Here are some pictures showing what I¡¯m doing just to be clear as possible. Sorry if they show too large.
?
I just want to make sure I¡¯m doing this right before I crash and burn.? Actually, so I don¡¯t crash and burn, LOL!
?
Thanks for your help and kind guidance.
?
Warmly,
?
