I paid Oneida to design my original shop, and as I recall they deducted it from my ducting cost. It was a good system with little waste. After I built my new shop I decided to go with Nordfab type snap together tubing. I paid Oneida for the design and bought the pipe and fittings from BlastGate. I literally saved about $2,000 from the Nordfab and Oneida cost. Again, I had almost no excess pieces. A year or two later I changed my shop setup and did the layout myself. It took three separate orders to get it right and like you I found I still had at least $400-500 in spare parts. It only takes one wrong Wye or a couple of Ell¡¯s to make it worthwhile to pay a pro to do it.
