Re: Changing saws
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Glen,I have some suggestions for you to quickly resolve your issues. The rip fence should not be parallel with the saw blade - it should toe-out from the saw blade about 0.002¨C0.004¡± over 8-inches. ?Here is how you check for toe-out (read the descriptions below the photos): ?? These photos document the toe-out adjustment points on the Kappa 400 xMotion rip fence (read the descriptions below the photos): ? The rip fence DRO calibration is very simple and explained in this video: ?? Here are a series of videos about creating a tool library and calibrating other aspects of the xMotion controls: ? Your digital crosscut stop that is counting distance in the wrong direction is a simple parameter change in the digital stop. ?Here is a video on how to alter that parameters in the digital stops: ?? The specific parameter you want to change will display as ?¡°_dir¡±. ? The digital stop with the right-side flipper does not support distance recalibration when the fence is angled, but it is nonetheless a very useful stop. ?The digital stop parameters and a complete Survival Guide to the digital crosscut fence system including how to calibrate the stops can be found here: ?? I¡¯m on the priority list to receive Covid vaccination once they arrive, and as soon as I get inoculated I will feel more comfortable traveling and will plan a trip south and stop by your shop. ?I¡¯m thinking spring. ?I¡¯m still enjoying the wines - thank you.
